Participating:
In order to take part in the short video contest you must first be a registered attendee with the event.
Prejudging:
If you’d like to take part in the original short video contest please email masterwandmakers@gmail.com subject line “WandTober Video Contest Submission” with a link to your YouTube video submission (Videos must be uploaded as an “Unlisted Video” to YouTube).
Competition:
Videos will be shown throughout the livestream event and can be voted on by the attendees. The attendees will award each video points based on a 1-10 point based system. The top 5 videos will be shown back to back near the end of the event and the video with the most votes will be awarded a cash prize!
Video Contest Rules:
- Videos can be between 30 seconds and 3 minutes. Videos must not be longer than 3 minutes (if your video is 3 minutes and 15 seconds we will allow it, we’re not monsters after all).
- Videos must be in some way magically themed. This can be silly short films skits, serious scenes, commercial style (would be a great opportunity to work with a featured wandmaker and devise a fun viral video “commercial” and debut it during the event) or other types of videos.
- Videos must be in 16:9 aspect ratio. Just like your flatscreen T.V., or laptop computer screen.
- Videos must not include any nudity, political or religious statements.
Anyone who violates these rules may be disqualified from the competition.
All video contestants will have the opportunity to feature a link to their YouTube channel and or other preferred social media accounts if they so choose.
